Further Comments: This lady may have been murdered in the late nineteenth century, her dark form having been reported for many years since. Her presence is often indicated by the smell of spices and perfume.

Further Comments: Three power engineers were out chasing a fault in the middle of the countryside when they heard a soft female voice say a few words out loud close to them. All three turned to look at the place they thought they heard the voice, but no one was there. With nowhere for a person to hide, the three quickly left the scene.

Further Comments: While this building has suffered from mild poltergeist activity (such as glasses being moved by an unseen hand), the perpetrator has been named as former owner Norrie.

Further Comments: A local rhyme reads 'Between Dillerhill and Crossford, there lies Katie Neevie's hoord'. It is thought that the hoard takes the form of gold concealed within a kettle, a boot and a bull hide.

Further Comments: Lights would turn themselves on and off, footfalls echoed down empty corridors, and the thick smell of cigar smoke was reported by staff when this former hospital was operational.

Further Comments: This site was investigated by Spirit Finders Scotland in 2009. The group recorded EVP and picked up EMF readings when they asked the entity to flash the lights to answer yes/no questions.

Further Comments: This property is reputedly haunted three female forms. One is a grey lady, most likely a nurse based here during the First World War, while another is white in colour and said to haunt the peel tower. A green lady, who one witness said had bloodshot eyes, has been reported in the Piper's Gallery.

Further Comments: While actual sightings of the ghostly horse reputedly to haunt this racetrack are scant, a local newspaper reported an exorcist had been scheduled to record the ghost for an American TV crew in July 1974.

Further Comments: The stadium was briefly haunted by a horse named Lucky Venture which died on the track. The animal's shade was exorcised by a couple of local university students.

Further Comments: This ghost, dressed in a tartan cape, was seen walking about the premises whilst knitting. She passed through a closed bedroom door.

Further Comments: Police were called to investigate a poltergeist outbreak and reportedly witnessed lights switching off, an oven door opening and closing unaided, and flying clothing. When in the garden, officers found a Chihuahua perched upon a two metre tall hedge. With no crime committed, police contacted a Catholic priest.

Further Comments: A ghostly older man with a beard would be seen on CCTV. The entity would also turn lights on and the beer taps off.
Location: Tarbrax - A70 between Tarbrax and Balerno

Further Comments: Ambulance mechanic Gary Wood and his friend Andrew encountered a black shiny UFO along the A70 - it had no lights and was silent. After realising that they had lost one and a half hours, they underwent hypnosis where they discovered they had been abducted by frail grey aliens with large eyes.
