Two more ghosts haunt the long galley; a butler murdered a housemaid in the area, and their earthbound souls have been watched re-enacting the scene.

Further Comments: Walking his dog through the park, this witness spotted what looked like a cricket pavilion with a veranda about 100 yards from him. The building was quite brightly lit, illuminated from the outside. The witness was a little surprised never to have seen the building before, but being new to the area, was not perturbed. Walking back the same way a little later, the building had gone. Neighbours told him that they could not recall a pavilion ever being on the site.

Further Comments: Sir Geoffrey, complete with red cloak and jangling spurs, appears here on horseback and heads towards the church to disappear through its wall. Even though the ghost is said to appear on Christmas Eve, the last verified sighting of Sir Geoffrey was on 17 December 1932.

Further Comments: In a case covered by the world's media, the Enfield poltergeist reportedly centred itself on a young girl named Janet, using her vocal cords to communicate. She claimed the entity would throw her out of bed at night, and other witnesses reported spontaneous fires and items moving themselves.

Further Comments: A popular local story tells of the Phantom Coach of Enfield, flying two metres off the ground where the road once lay. Seen a couple of times in the twentieth century, the ghostly passengers are said to be quite clear and distinct. A 14 year old boy cycling close to Albany Park School claimed to have passed through the apparition.

Further Comments: Jason Hollis in Haunted Enfield wrote that this location was haunted by a floating figure dressed in black. One witness who encountered the entity was left traumatised by its maggot eaten face.

Further Comments: Many experiences were reported by the family living here, including a picture which was taken off a wall (even though it was nailed there), voices and noises heard from the loft, and another voice which said, 'get out of my house'.

Further Comments: Mr Danby died on the road in 1832, his throat slashed by an unknown assassin. A few years later his ghost returned and gave chase to a passing horse-drawn carriage (much to the horror of the occupants).

Further Comments: Reportedly once owned by Dick Turpin's grandfather, the highwayman would visit the family when he needed to hide out. His ghostly form has been seen both inside and out, sometimes accompanied by his horse.
