Lion
Location: Wrangaton (Devon) - Lane in the area

Further Comments: Police spent eight hours searching for a lion after a local man reported seeing the blood-stained creature enter a field along a lane. Police expressed concern that local hunters armed with shotguns had joined the search. Analysis of a paw print discovered in the area revealed it could belong to a big cat.

Fawn Coloured Cat
Location: Wrentham (Suffolk) - General area

Further Comments: The Big Cats of Suffolk website reported multiple sightings of large cats in this area. In 1997, a wave of sightings were reported of a lynx or cougar, and patrols were established to try to capture the creature. Sightings have sporadically continued, and in 2015 police reported a panther on the loose.
