Further Comments: The disembodied sounds of children running up and down the road and outside people's houses has been heard, though often no-one can be seen. One resident briefly spoke to the entities, which vanished after twenty seconds or so.

Further Comments: A local urban legend said that a part-goat part-man entity haunted this walk and local children dared each other to run down the path late at night. A sculpture of a spriggan can be now found along the walk, with some believing its placement was inspired by the legend.

Further Comments: This stadium was said to be haunted by the non-threatening Herbert Chapman, former manager of Arsenal before dying in 1934.

Further Comments: Reportedly running around the graves looking for her children (which she murdered), this figure has unmistakable snaking hair. Another ghost here is more enigmatic - covered in a robe, they can be observed from afar, but disappear when approached.

Further Comments: A plethora of sightings of a red eyed creature that could turn to smoke resulted in the cemetery becoming a second home to all manner of researchers, reporters, and fame seekers. The sightings died down after legal action against one of the vampire hunters. More recently, North London Paranormal Investigators encountered a pale figure in a suit, resembling an undertaker, while touring the area.

Further Comments: This face is reported to stare from behind the bars of the main gate into this cemetery.

Further Comments: Started during the Second World War, the station was never finished, though locals sometimes reported the sound of a steam train along where the track was supposed to have been laid. One rational explanation put forward is that the sounds of the trains came from nearby stations which were active until the 1970.

Further Comments: Speaking to local media, Peter Gallagher claimed that the ghost of Nell Gwynn had intervened as he was being attacked by an evil spirit.

Further Comments: The site where Francis Bacon put theory into practice with refrigeration in 1626; the featherless, panicking chicken that has been seen running around the area on cold winter nights is all that remains of that early experiment.

Further Comments: This presence would vigorously ring a set of disused servant bells located in the kitchen.

Further Comments: Shortly after the great storm of 1989 the owner of this property experienced sudden drops in temperature and the sensation of a room being full of Victorian society (including an evil presence). A blessing was performed on the site, although it may have had minimal effect and the owner moved away soon after.

Further Comments: This tall gentleman was seen by several locals, the nearby church bells ringing as he walked and disappeared into the cemetery wall. It may be the same spirit that appeared cycling uphill along the same road.

Further Comments: Murdered many moons ago for her money, Mother Marnes now meanders around the building with her pet cat. A ghost hunting team claimed to have contacted Francis Bacon (philosopher, not painter) in the basement during an investigation.

Further Comments: Seen on nearby wasteland, and in where his house once stood, the shade of this infamous murderer has found it hard to let go of his mortal homeland.

Further Comments: A ghostly white figure that was caught on someone's mobile phone camera was named as a former firefighter. Though the footage has been dismissed as nothing more than a trick of the light, some firefighters remain sure their station is haunted.

Further Comments: A chapel of the Sandemanian sect of which Michael Faraday was a member, the ghost of Faraday was said to haunt the building.
Location: N8 - Ferrestone Road, Hornsey
Type: Poltergeist
Date / Time: February - April 1921
Further Comments: This spirit would remove pieces of coal from the bunker and make them explode in various parts of the house, creating much noise and mess. As normal, the polt also threw around the family crockery. Two months after the start of the outbreak, the family's five year old daughter died, the death partly blamed on stress caused by the activity. The Vicar of St Gabriel placed an appeal for alternative housing to be provided for the family.

Further Comments: The white phantom dog which lurked in this area was harmless unless provoked.

Further Comments: Killed by a young bull, this farm hand was said to haunt the area. The hall was also reputedly haunted by the ghost of a murder victim; the room in which the crime was committed was considered uninhabitable because of the paranormal presence and was bricked up until the hall was demolished.
