Woodhorn - St Mary the Virgin Church
Since the First World War
George Charlton, the assistant sexton, spotted Tom passing through the churchyard. George later spoke to Tom's cousin, who informed him the Chalkley family have just received a telegram informing them Tom had been killed in action. Tom has reportedly been seen three times since his first appearance.
Wooler - Cave in Cockenheugh Hills, and Fowberry Bridge (and occasionally Tower)
Either a former Border reiver or someone who committed suicide (or maybe both), this entity would manifest as a dun coloured horse and scour the area for his lost treasure.
A devil-like entity standing over a woman.
Wooler - Hanging crag on Doddington Hill Fort
Legend - Old Nick
It was said that the Devil hanged his grandmother from this crag on the fort.
Wooler - Pin Well, Horsdon Hill
Well still present
By dropping a bent pin or money into this well, visitors to the well would appease the fairy which lived nearby, and maybe have their wish come true.
Yeavering - Standing stone (was known as the Druid's Lapfu), aka Battle Stone
The stone accidently fell here after a druid had a mishap with their apron.
