Further Comments: The sound of phantom footsteps can be heard around the castle.

Soldier

Location: Tulliebole - Trooper's Dubb (aka Trooper's Pool)
Type: Haunting Manifestation
Date / Time: Eighteenth century?
Further Comments: A soldier engaged in a drinking contest on by the side of the pool died (presumably due to alcohol poisoning) and was buried close by. The soldier was said to have been seen sitting in the same spot post mortem, threatening to throw witnesses into the pool, and fearful locals would take longer routes home after dark to avoid passing too close to the site.
