Marlpitts Hill, Honiton, Devon

Dazed & Confused
In 1904, a party of schoolchildren watched a dazed man stagger past them on Marlpitts Hill, wearing a brown coat covered in mud - but the teacher they were with was unable to see him. It is thought they encountered the ghost of a soldier fleeing from the Battle of Sedgemoor, who was killed only a few meters from his family's house. The ghost was last seen in 1907.
