The Devil in UK and Irish Folklore

Old Nick pops up with alarming frequency in folklore, normally shaping the landscape, moving churches, or being outsmarted by passing saints.

The Devil's Landscape - Places where the Devil is said to have visited (and in some cases, stayed).
Hellhounds - Demonic dogs have a number of regionalised names across the UK, including Black Shuck, Barghest, and Padfoot.
Hellgates - A handful of places claim to be the entrance to hell, or at least the site where the Devil had to make a quick exit.
