Data Set October 2014 - Paranormal Places of Interest

This data set was created on 13 October 2014, using 10,387 entries in the Paranormal Database, covering England, Scotland, Northern Island and Wales. Population and area data was extracted from 2011 Census (http://www.ons.gov.uk). Please note that places of paranormal interest include known hoaxes or misidentifications.

These lists were constructed after the author viewed several reports in the national media concerning 'x county is among top xx most haunted' (although granted these are not 'most haunted' lists). The following lists are only three ways in which to generate such ranking, of which an almost unlimited methods exist, and undoubtedly any county could claim the top ranking - if the author had access to chocolate bar sales per county, then a fourth list would be available (and may appear in the future, if anyone can send the author the data).
