Further Comments: An ancient document gives reference to this place has being home to a dragon.

Bloodied Hands

Location: Worcester - Astwood Road Cemetery
Type: Unknown Ghost Type
Date / Time: 2000s
Further Comments: This witness was out with a group of friends, messing around in the cemetery. She turned away from the group and spotted a young girl dressed in white, holding out her hands and mouthing words that could not be heard. The witness held out her own hands, and for a fleeting moment perceived that they were covered in blood.

Hanged Man

Location: Worcester - BBC Hereford and Worcester building
Type: Haunting Manifestation

Further Comments: This BBC building is reported to be haunted by a depressed worker who hanged himself back when the place was a Tannery. An exorcism was conducted live on air.

Thin Armed Creature

Location: Worcester - Brickfields Park, Rainbow Hill
Type: Unknown Ghost Type
Date / Time: 2004
Further Comments: Six friends walking across the park one evening spotted an extra dark shadow ahead of them. They thought it resembled a horse, although after a few moments realised it had a human torso and long skinny arms. The creature then headed towards the group - they fled. In the same year, another man was startled when a pair of long slender arms reached through a kitchen window and felt around the sink before withdrawing.

These Boots are Made for Walking

Location: Worcester - Fields around Besford

Further Comments: After mistreating his hunting hounds, this man's dogs finally turned on their master and ate him, leaving only his boots. Now the footwear aimlessly stomps across the land, flattening crops and grass.

Thrower

Location: Worcester - Five Ways Inn
Type: Poltergeist
Date / Time: Twentieth century
Further Comments: This misbehaving spirit reportedly threw several heavy items at one witness.

Hanging Boy

Location: Worcester - Guildhall
Type: Haunting Manifestation
Date / Time: Unknown
Further Comments: The former prison cells in this building are now home to the ghosts of a young boy who committed suicide and an unknown woman.

Sid

Location: Worcester - King's Head public house
Type: Haunting Manifestation
Date / Time: 1982
Further Comments: Sid, a phantom, French speaking Cavalier, would be seen walking through walls and heard ringing a bell in the early hours of the morning. The ghost vanished after warning a tourist about some future danger.

Grey Cat

Location: Worcester - Old Talbot public house

Further Comments: Perceived by both man and animal, this ghostly cat has been known to brush up against people, only to vanish once their attention has been attracted.

Bandaged Man

Location: Worcester - Private residence along Northfield Road
Type: Haunting Manifestation
Date / Time: Late summer, 1983, around 16:00h
Further Comments: While in the dining room, a child in this property heard footsteps descending the staircase and watched as a latched door to the room opened. In stepped a figure, blue grey in colour, covered head to toe in bandages. Both the figure and child froze, staring at each other, until the bandaged entity took a step forward and the child ran to his mother, who was in the living room. The figure had gone when the mother went to investigate, and years later the witness still felt sick thinking about the incident.

Mattress Manifestation

Location: Worcester - Private residence, Infirmary Walk
Type: Haunting Manifestation
Date / Time: September 2010 to February 2011
Further Comments: The Worcester News website reported that local man Kevin Cartwright claimed he was being awoken at night by something pushing his mattress at night. 'Sensitives' who visited the site claimed that the location was haunted by children.

Polly

Location: Worcester - River Severn (North Parade area?)
Type: Post-Mortem Manifestation
Date / Time: Unknown, early twentieth century or prior
Further Comments: Polly was an older woman who made her money selling matches. For several weeks following her drowning in the river, she was spotted waving at witnesses from the bank.

Tom Bates and Others

Location: Worcester - Royal Infirmary
Type: Haunting Manifestation
Date / Time: Unknown
Further Comments: In 2017 students from the University of Worcester used a ghost walk at this site to raise money for a local school. The Royal Infirmary was said to be haunted by Tom Bates (a former surgeon), a grey lady, and a screaming boy who haunts the lower part of the building.

Little Girl

Location: Worcester - St Helen's Church
Type: Haunting Manifestation

Further Comments: A young girl searches the floor of the church, as if looking for a small item she has dropped. If spoken to, the child runs off and vanishes into the shadows.

Young Girl

Location: Worcester - St Helen's church
Type: Haunting Manifestation
Date / Time: Unknown
Further Comments: A pale white girl, said to be young and tearful, is said to have been seen several times in this church. She would appear to be looking for something between the aisles before running off and disappearing.

Three Nuns

Location: Worcester - Tudor House Museum
Type: Haunting Manifestation
Date / Time: Unknown
Further Comments: A local story says that this museum is haunted by three nuns.

Bear

Location: Worcester - Worcester Cathedral and College Green

Further Comments: Ever since the Civil War there have been reports of a phantom bear that rises as if to attack. One guard is said to have taken a shot at the creature, which of course had no effect.

Amr's Resting Place

Location: Wormelow Tump - Tump (no longer present - destroyed in 1896)

Further Comments: The Bowl Barrow or burial mound which once stood in the village was said to belong to Amr, King Arthur's son.

Woman in Silk

Location: Wormsley - Wormsley Grange
Type: Haunting Manifestation
Date / Time: Exact date unknown, but reputed to be around midnight
Further Comments: Two ghosts are said to haunt this building; a woman dressed in silk and a man in black.
