Mary Bonham Christie - Brownsea Castle

A photograph taken from a window in the castle in May 2003 revealed a strange face when the film was developed - some have identified the figure as Mary Bonham Christie, who bought the island in the 1920s. When she grew too old to live in the castle her family forced her to move away, but she died the day she was relocated.
